Know your coverage

Auto insurance, explained

Your policy can also protect you against medical and legal expenses from injury, loss of life or property damage caused by an accident involving your vehicle. Need coverage for work vehicles? See our commercial auto options.

Montana requires drivers to carry liability coverage, which pays for losses you cause to others. Even beyond the legal minimum, carrying enough liability is the simplest way to protect your savings if an accident is your fault. We will help you choose limits that fit what you have to protect.

Collision pays for damage to your own vehicle in an accident, up to its fair market value. It includes a deductible, the amount you pay before coverage kicks in. A higher deductible lowers the cost of your collision coverage.

Comprehensive covers damage from something other than a collision, such as theft, vandalism, fire, hail, flood, windshield damage or hitting a deer. Like collision, it pays up to fair market value less your deductible. It is not required by law, but your lender will likely require it if your vehicle is financed.

Yes. Many of our carriers offer savings when you combine auto with home, renters, ranch or recreational vehicle coverage. Ask us to quote a bundle.
